The Alabama Department of Revenue Motor Vehicle Division is responsible for issuing motor vehicle titles, motor vehicle dealer licenses, maintaining vehicle registration information and enforcing the Mandatory Liability Insurance Act.
In addition, the division administers the International Registration Plan (IRP) and International Fuel Tax Agreement (IFTA). This portal provides information necessary to process motor vehicle transactions.
