MOTOR VEHICLE LICENSE RENEWAL REMINDER
Motor vehicle dealers may renew their dealer regulatory license at the following website: https://mvlicense.mvtrip.alabama.gov/. If you have forgotten your password, click Lost Password to have a new password sent to the email on the account or reset the password by answering the security questions. You can also have your user id sent to the email on the account by clicking Lost Username. Privilege licenses should be obtained from the county licensing offices after the state regulatory license has been issued. Dealer and manufacturer license plates can be requested through the MV license portal after obtaining both the state regulatory and county privilege license. Any regulatory licenses that are not renewed prior to November 01, 2021 will be assessed a penalty of 15% of the amount of the license plus interest.
Please note that a licensed auto dismantler and parts recycler, who acquires a vehicle for the purpose of dismantling or recycling, is required to report “junk” vehicles through the Motor Vehicle Division SCRAP Portal. www.scrap.mvtrip.alabama.gov
As a reminder, beginning November 1, 2021, all designated agents and title service providers will be required to electronically upload all title applications and supporting documents to the Alabama Title System (ALTS). Any physical title application packages mailed on or after November 1, 2021, will be returned to the designated agent or title service provider to be properly electronically uploaded.
